Overview
The 2024 Corsair RM1000x is the current version of Corsair’s best-selling power supply, updated for ATX 3.1. It delivers 1000W of continuous power at up to 50 °C, is Cybenetics Gold certified for efficiency and A-rated for noise, and ships with a native 12V-2×6 cable for RTX 4090 / 5080 / 5090-class graphics cards. Every cable unplugs, so you only run what your build needs. The 140 mm fluid dynamic bearing fan stays off at low loads (Zero RPM mode) and a rear switch lets you force it on. Backed by a 10-year warranty.
Which wattage? 1000W suits RTX 5080 / 5090 builds or any system you plan to upgrade over the next few years. For an RTX 5060 – 5070 build, 750–850W is enough — ask us if you are unsure.
